About Me.

I am a Senior Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Agentic AI and LLM-powered Information Retrieval. With a PhD in Computer Science (Deep Learning) from the University of Catania, I have dedicated my career to bridging the gap between academic research and scalable production systems.

My journey began with a fascination for how machines "perceive" the world—leading me to specialize in Computer Vision and Audio Forensics. Over time, this evolved into a passion for Generative AI and Autonomous Agents that can reason, plan, and execute complex tasks.

Currently at Hlpy, I architect next-generation customer support systems. I don't just build models; I build systems—orchestrating RAG pipelines, ensuring data quality with PGVector, and deploying robust APIs with FastAPI and Kubernetes.

Beyond Code

I am also a Lecturer at Epicode, where I teach Computer Architecture. I believe that understanding the hardware is crucial for optimizing modern AI workloads. When I'm not coding, you can find me improvising Jazz on the piano or analyzing the narrative structures of Anime.
